Saturday 23rd September - Denim Reimagined: Upcycling Workshop to Create Your Signature Sustainable Style

 Unleash your creativity as we guide you through the art of upcycling denim; turning forgotten jackets, jeans and dungarees into unique, personalised fashion statements. We'll provide an extensive range of embellishments, tools and supplies to help you create a completely unique design that will turn heads whenever you wear it.

 All you need to participate is a denim item of your choice - we've got everything else covered. You're also welcome to bring any embellishments or finishings of your own you wanted to use; we're thinking things like wedding dress buttons, band tees and vintage tablecloths, but the options are endless!

 New to sewing and upcycling? No problem! We'll guide you through a range of techniques and materials to create a beautiful finished product.

 No denim in your wardrobe? Check out your local charity shop or Vinted to find a second-hand gem you can breathe some new life into.

 With techniques like chic distressing, elegant embroidery, and stylish patchwork to name a few, you'll craft a piece that aligns with your values *and* elevates your wardrobe.

Required: Please bring denim items you wish to customise. All haberdashery, embellishments and equipment will be provided at the class. 

 

Note: You may not completely finish your project within the workshop time, but you will be able to take materials home in order to complete your item.

 

Suitable for ages 10+. All participants aged under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
